Octavio de Toledo y Huerta se doctor\u00f3 en Ling\u00fc\u00edstica Rom\u00e1nica por la Universidad de Tubinga, tras haber estudiado en la Complutense de Madrid, la Sorbona y la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico. Ha colaborado igualmente en cursos, seminarios y proyectos con las universidades de Cambridge, Harvard, Vanderbilt, Lovaina, Toulouse-Le Mirail, W\u00fcrzburg o la Carolina de Praga, entre otras, y ha ejercido como catedr\u00e1tico j\u00fanior (<em>Juniorprofessor<\/em>)&nbsp;de Ling\u00fc\u00edstica Rom\u00e1nica en la Universidad de M\u00fanich.&nbsp; Ha participado en diversos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n internacionales (SFB833&nbsp;<em>Bedeutungskonstitution<\/em>, Alemania) y nacionales, tanto p\u00fablicos (radicados en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Universitat de Barcelona y las universidades de Granada, Salamanca y Sevilla) como privados (Fundaci\u00f3n BBVA), se ha desempe\u00f1ado como investigador contratado en las universidades de Tubinga y Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid y ha codirigido los proyectos nacionales \u201cLIMES.
